Bucharest Early Music Festival is devoted to historical music on authentic interpretation (historically informed performance), exclusively with historical instruments or their modern replicas. Artists invited are specialized in the historically documented performances of the early music.


Since 2006, the festival brought together more than 450 artists from 14 countries, which performed about 140 concerts, held master classes, conferences and presentations of historical instruments.


Nowadays Bucharest Early Music Festival (on 2019 at the 14th edition) is considered one of the most significant Early Music festivals in Eastern Europe.
