Cluny Dance

Le grand jeté !, a dance company, organize each year a contemporary dance festival in Cluny streets (Burgundy), but also in small villages around Cluny. This year (2020), we'll organize the 9th edition of this festival. The aim of this event is to develop choreographic culture and to mix amateur and professional practice. This festival consists in many participative activities, a big flashmob and generally twelve or thirteen professional dance and circus performances around movement. We want to build social connectedness and to introduce contemporary dance to a rural audience. This is a free event that mixes all age groups, genders and social backgroungs to promote living together and access to contemporary culture. 4500 spectators are present every year at the festival. This is a convivial event in partnership with social structures and local associations, to encourage the distant public to participate.
