Contemporary music festival «Traiettorie»

The International Festival of Modern and Contemporary Music Traiettorie was founded in Parma in 1991 and it has become a leading festival of contemporary music in Italy and in Europe.

In 2025, as usual, the festival hosts renowned ensembles and soloists such as Arditti Quartet, Ensemble Multilatérale, Flashback Ensemble, Marino Formenti, Trio Catch and many others.

The XXXV edition celebrates experimentation and sound research and focus on the relationship between contemporary music and new technologies. The programme includes around fifty pieces written in the new millennium, including seven world premieres, six of which were commissioned by the festival, and nine Italian premieres.

Organised and promoted by the Fondazione Prometeo, the 2025 edition comprises seventeen concerts and will begin with a very dense weekend of music, between 16 and 18 May, with no less than nine concerts spread between Casa della Musica and Casa del Suono.

The last eight concerts will take place between 8 October and 19 November, still at Casa della Musica and Casa del Suono and also at Teatro Regio.
