da Terra Festival - Mindfulness, Sustainability, Community

27 Jun 2025 - 29 Jun 2025
Pataias, Alcobaça, Portugal

The vision of Festival da Terra is a united community with strong neighbourly relations, the need to slow down and create more conscious and harmonious ways of living, and the will to create spaces for connecting with nature and taking responsibility for the sustainability of our future. Therefore, the pillars of this event are:~ Mindfulness: to take time to look inwards, nurturing our well-being, balance and deconstructing the ideas about ‘'personal development' from different perspectives and traditions;~ Community: getting to know our community better, its strengths and how each of us can contribute positively, bringing back forms of exchange that go beyond monetary ties and giving new life to neighbourhoods and close relationships;~ Sustainability: we have become very distant from nature, forgetting that we are an integral part of a living and interdependent system, so we want to create spaces to work on our awareness of sustainability and ecology and take a more active and committed role in these areas. During the three days, the Pataias Lagoon will host a venue with a wide variety of areas with a program full of lessons and experiences, lectures, workshops, ateliers for all ages, music and dance will take place. On DaTerra Market visitors will be able to find a wide range of exhibitors and local artisans, traditional games, area for children, a massage and therapy area, food area, a second-hand market, horticultural therapy, a seed exchange area and, a new feature of this third edition, the screening of documentaries related to the pillars of the event. Sustainability is evident across the board at this event, whether it's the concern with waste separation and recycling or the wide offer of vegetarian and vegan food options. In addition, the swap market of second hand clothes, the upcycling and repair workshops aim to pave the way in the search for alternatives to the consumerist economic model we've been experiencing for decades. In this third edition, we would like to highlight the fact that there is a very complete and intergenerational program, with specific topics and activities for children, young people, senior citizens and also activities related to the theme of parenthood. The Festival will take place on June 27, 28 and 29, 2025 at Lagoa de Pataias, opening at 5pm on Friday and closing at midnight on Sunday. Admission is free!
