Dani Barokne Muzike 2025 – 10th Anniversary EditionThe Days of Baroque Music festival (Dani Barokne Muzike) celebrates its 10th anniversary in Novi Sad in 2025, bringing together international guest artists, local ensembles, and young talents in a vibrant series of concerts and educational events. Founded as the first early music festival in Vojvodina, the festival has become a central meeting point for historically informed performance in the region. This year’s edition opened on 12 September with a Traverso Duo concert, featuring Portuguese flautist Alexandre Andrade and Serbian/Brazilian recorder & traverso player Meila Tomé Pihler, highlighting the elegance and intimacy of baroque flute repertoire. On 19 September, the vocal ensemble Dom Muza in collaboration with the ensemble VisAntiqua presented Renaissance and early baroque polyphony. On 4 October, Novi Sad will welcome the internationally acclaimed Roman ensemble Mare Nostrum, directed by gambist Andrea De Carlo, performing “È sì bella la luce del dì” – a musical journey through the life of Alessandro Stradella. This concert is made possible with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture in Belgrade. On 10 October, the Novi Sad–based ensemble Musica Antiqua Neoplantensis explores the richness of the medieval and early renaissance repertoire, presenting rarely heard sounds of recorders, gambas, theorbos, and voices in dialogue with historic sources. With four major concerts and several additional events, Dani Barokne Muzike 2025 reaffirms its role as a cultural bridge.
