demi-UKREP
In an effort to expand our social and artistic reach, Dance Theatre Ljubljana is developing a rejuvenated edition of the UKREP festival. demi-UKREP brings together our program activities for children, young people and broader public in a festival format. The festival introduces a new program strand dedicated to children and their first encounter with the art of movement and expression through the body and at the same time engaging wider spectrum of audience with presenting projects that include non-dancers. With the festival’s new face, we aim to create a space for meeting, play, learning, and co-creation, while also strengthening our connections with the local community, schools, and youth institutions.As dance is a space of expression, play, and growth for young people – and young people bring freshness, courage, and imagination to contemporary dance – demi-UKREP will be a refreshing update for the Slovenian performing arts scene.
