Dingle Food Festival
A Festival of Taste, Music, Movement and Story
This edition of Dingle Food Festival (Féile Bia an Daingin) turns the whole town into a stage and a table. Set on the Dingle Peninsula, in the heart of the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht, the festival celebrates the people who feed, entertain and inspire us: the fishers who land the day's catch, the farmers and growers, the bakers, brewers, cheesemakers and chefs, and the musicians, dancers and artists who give this place its voice.
Food at the Centre
Local produce leads the way. Visitors can explore the food market, join guided tastings and follow food trails through the town's restaurants, pubs and cafés, each showcasing the best of the peninsula's seafood, meat, dairy, baking and drink. Chef demonstrations, producer talks and hands-on workshops open up the stories behind the plate, from boat and field to kitchen table. Family-friendly activities mean younger festival-goers can taste, make and learn too.
Music and Dance
Dingle is one of Ireland's great music towns, and the festival honours that. Traditional sessions spill out of pubs and venues throughout the weekend, joined by concerts, pop-up performances and street music. Set dancing, sean-nós and céilí dancing invite everyone to take the floor, whether they are seasoned dancers or trying a step for the first time.
Arts and Creativity
Visual artists, makers and craftspeople bring colour to shopfronts, galleries and public spaces. Exhibitions, live demonstrations and creative workshops connect food with art, showing how landscape, sea and tradition inspire both. Storytelling, poetry and film add further layers, reflecting the peninsula's long literary and creative heritage.
Language and Heritage
Irish is a living language here, and it is heard throughout the festival in conversations, songs, stories and welcomes. Visitors are warmly invited to experience the Gaeltacht first hand and discover the traditions that have shaped local food, music and community life for generations.
Community and Sustainability
The festival is built by and for the community. It supports local businesses, producers and performers, and encourages visitors to eat local, travel gently and respect the landscape that sustains us all.
