The Corvo e a Raposa Cultural Association, with a focus on promoting percussion as a universal artistic language and a musical form of unity and dialogue, organised the 4th edition of Dias da Percussão Portimão [DPP’25] between 28 February and 2 March 2025, under the artistic direction of Vasco Ramalho and Daniela Tomaz.DPP'25 brought together nationally and internationally renowned artists, such as Odaiko Percussion Group (ES), Borealis Ensemble, Nuno Aroso, Vasco Ramalho, Joel Silva and K2 Dance Company. These artists engaged in dialogue with the community and artists residing in the Alentejo and Algarve regions, such as the students of the Integrated Music Course and the Professional Jazz Course of the Bemposta School Group, Portimão and the young percussionists of the Percussion Group of the University of Évora, who premiered the musical commission of DPP'25 to composer Ângela da Ponte, ‘La Fontana Mirabilis’.The programme included 1 Jam Session and 3 concerts with a varied programme linked to the world of classical percussion for children and young people, with a focus on contemporary percussion. It also included an online conversation as a pre-event theme for discussion and promotion with the Festival artists on 22 February; two awareness-raising and outreach activities in the form of a parade in public spaces with the Bomboémia Percussion Group of the University of Minho; and four percussion workshops for children and young people with the festival artists.

DPP’25 is a project by O Corvo and Raposa, co-financed by the Portuguese Republic / Directorate-General for the Arts and having the Municipality of Portimão as a strategic partner.
