Easter Festival

28 Mar 2026 - 12 Apr 2026
AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France

Over the years, the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival has become one of the most prestigious events on the classical music calendar in Europe. The world's greatest soloists and most renowned orchestras perform to sell out, utterly enchanted crowds. In 2026, the orchestra in residence will be none other than the Munich Philharmonic, conducted by Lahav Shani.

However, founders Dominique Bluzet and Renaud Capuçon, alongside Daniel Baal, President of the CIC and founding partner, only ever had one ambition, to bring the world's foremost artists to Aix-en-Provence. From the very beginning, the festival has strived to root itself in the region, to connect with and share a passion for music with the local population. Each year, the festival gives the people of Aix access to concerts free of charge, as well as to the inhabitants of the towns and villages of the entire Région Sud (France). Students from the region's music conservatories are invited to take part in master classes; patients in local hospitals and healthcare facilities get a chance to meet guest artists in person or enjoy live broadcasts of festival concerts (HEKO programme); the younger members of the community benefit from events that are specially adapted for them.

The Easter Festival has become an annual celebration, an event to be truly enjoyed by the people of Aix and the wider Provence region.
