Elmore Festival 2026
Each summer, the Elmore Festival brings outstanding live music to the beautiful 13th-century church of St. John the Baptist in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside. Over four days in early August, audiences and artists come together to enjoy exceptional performances in an intimate and welcoming setting.Founded in 2020, the festival has grown steadily each year and is now recognised as one of the most distinctive chamber music festivals in the UK. What began with concerts relocated outdoors at the height of the pandemic has developed into an event that attracts acclaimed international musicians while also supporting and inspiring the next generation of performers. The 2025 edition was our most successful so far, with full audiences, a lively atmosphere, and memorable performances from organist Henry Fairs, the Danish NOVO Quartet, violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason, and double bassist Toby Hughes, alongside inspiring masterclasses and workshops for young musicians. Previous artists have included Petr Prause, Ben Powell, Rosa Hartley, the Elmore Quartet, and Victor Lim.Hospitality is also at the heart of the festival. The Festival Bar, run in partnership with Gloucester’s award-winning Pelican Inn, offers local ciders and freshly brewed ales from Wye Valley Brewery. With many excellent accommodation options nearby, Elmore is an ideal musical getaway in the Gloucestershire countryside.Looking ahead, Elmore Festival will continue to celebrate world-class music while also expanding into new art forms. The 2026 edition will feature not only concerts but also visual art, workshops, and creative collaborations, bringing audiences and artists together in new and exciting ways while keeping the welcoming atmosphere that defines the festival.
