Flanders Festival Ghent is an international music festival held in the vibrant cultural city of Ghent and the greater region of East Flanders. The Ghent Festival focuses on high-quality classical music in its purest form, while also exploring the boundaries through a variety of creative formats. For instance, ‘OdeGand’ traditionally launches the festival each year, and since its inception it has grown into a breathtaking and adventurous city event.For three weeks in September, the Ghent Festival attracts more than 50,000 visitors with its daring programme of classical music. Both emerging young talents and world-renowned artists share their passion and virtuosity with devoted music lovers as well as curious newcomers. The programme features over 180 concerts, with the participation of more than 1,500 (inter)national artists.
