Festival Skaly (The rocks festival)

The Skaly Festival is a two-day event where visitors can see many well-known Slovak and foreign artists (Slovakian top music players such as Billy Barman, Polemic, Gleb, Korben Dallas, Medial Banana, Smola a Hrušky, Heľenine oči, etc.) in the beautiful nature of the Rajec valley, in the camp Slnečné Skaly. We perceive the importance of an environment in which the festival takes place, for an even more intense experience of art. Our goal is to create a space for all people who are united by love to art and nature.

Camping Slnečné Skaly is also a place where many foreign tourists spend time, which enables us to make the festival itself, but especially Slovak artists, known to the wider public. At the same time, it is very important for us to provide space for local artists, folklore subjects or emerging artists. To realise this intention, except two outdoor stages, we have a separate indoor stage located in a large tent, where we can give space to smaller groups, animators or various other activities: Stand-up, amateur artists in the form of Open Mic, workshops, literary lectures, educational lectures, community activities in the form of drumming or presentation of disadvantaged groups.

With the Skaly Festival, we offer a space for the presentation of art and talent without any discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation or other circumstances.
