FITLO IX
The Logroño International Theatre Festival (FITLO) will hold its ninth edition from September 29 to October 5, 2025, with a program that will take place both in conventional performance venues —such as the Gonzalo de Berceo Hall and the Riojaforum— and in unconventional spaces across the city, including Calle Cien Tiendas and Nave 31, thus reaffirming its commitment to fostering coexistence between theatre and society. This year’s chosen theme is “Building,” a concept that unfolds as the guiding thread of the entire program and defines the festival’s mission: to create meeting spaces, open doors, build bridges and, above all, generate community through the performing arts.“In times when destruction prevails, we are building a festival. We are building FITLO,” declares the manifesto of this edition, which champions theatre as a place of dialogue, resistance, and shared creativity.FITLO 2025 will bring together creators from Spain, Greece, and Argentina, as well as emerging and established companies from different regions of Spain. Since its inception, FITLO has established itself as a landmark in northern Spain for contemporary theatre, committed to diversity, innovation, and social dialogue. Its mission is to build community through culture, foster new audiences, give voice to diverse groups, and use the performing arts as a tool for coexistence and humanity. The ninth edition of FITLO reaffirms itself as a project that grows from the local to the global, opening the city to international theatre and making Logroño an essential meeting point for artists and audiences alike.
