Göteborg Balkan Festival 2026

Our festival is a celebration of the cultural heritage of Roma people, who are one of the national minorities in Sweden. Our festival is a 100% non-profit music, art and culture festival that starts in Göteborg, Sweden, closely connected with Balkan. We have several foundations and partner entities that help us achieve our goals, also the festival works hand in hand with the City of Göteborg and local communities.​ We have a lineup of musicians, artists, and performers from Sweden and around the Europe, showcasing a variety of genres, styles, and cultural traditions. From the biggest names to those you are not familiar with yet all performing equally. A festival that does not celebrate celebrity, but we recognize it, with our intimate stage areas creating a unique and dynamic atmosphere that encourages creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression. We focus on pure art providing a platform for emerging and unknown talent. Our festival offers a refreshing alternative to more commercialized and celebrity-driven events.
