Gombaszög is the largest cultural and community event for Hungarian-speaking youth in Slovakia, continuing a long-standing tradition of summer camps and festivals in Gombasek. It serves as a unique meeting point for young people, students, professionals, creators and community leaders from across Slovakia, Hungary and the wider region.The festival offers participants a rich and diverse programme that they can shape according to their interests. Multiple events run simultaneously throughout the day and night, ensuring a vibrant, dynamic and inclusive atmosphere. The programme reflects the needs and interests of the target audience, combining entertainment with meaningful learning opportunities, cultural enrichment, community building and personal development.A strong emphasis is placed on discussions, lectures and intellectual activities. More than ten dedicated stages host experts, academics, writers, travellers, athletes, innovators and public figures who share their knowledge and experiences. Alongside current-affairs panels and thematic forums, the programme includes workshops, debates, literary sessions, film screenings, creative labs, history-themed presentations, and informal educational formats that support personal and professional growth.Traditional festival elements also play an important role: concerts, theatre performances, dance and music programmes, folk events, sports activities, outdoor competitions, evening entertainment and social gatherings.
