GCMF was established in 1986 by consert pianist Staffan Scheja and is the only such festival in Gotland. The festival hosts internationally acclaimed musicians together with young musicians. In addition to its high musical level it offers a creative and nourishing atmophere for all participating musicians. GCMF promotes diversity, experiment and reaches out to a varied audience. The festivals vision is to create an artistic meating place of classic and contemporary music.
