The Guimarães International Saxophone Festival pretends create a new platform to democratize the artistc and cultural offer existent in north of Portugal. Normaly this kind of events happend mostly in the south of the country its hard for young students have the oportunity to work, learn and share their musical experiences. On of yhe main goals its provide to every one, since conservatory or academy students until even amateur musicians the oportunity to work with the most known teacher and saxophone players of the european scene, namely France, Holand among others. Also important its provide to the public in general and the comunity a chance to see and listen concerts with high quality. The event pretends criate a plataform do provide not only education but alson continuos learning, cultural moments for everyone and have a social cause. For example, the first edition will be associated to a non profit association that his mission its help persons with oncoligcal problems namely, leukemia, lymphoma and also their families and informal caregivers as even hospital professionals.
