Hortus Magicus

Festival Hortus Magicus is a charming event full of fragrances, flavors, colors, delightful sounds and an unforgettable experience. Come back to the time of its founder Charles II. of Liechtenstein-Kastelkorn, a Baroque magnate, to whom we owe the laying of the foundation stones of the chateau and the Flower Garden in Kroměříž. Baroque music and dance, theater based on original early modern games and ancient myths, fireworks according to original iconography and period games for children and adults - all this is inherently part of the Hortus Magicus festival.

On all days of the festival you can take advantage of the permanent program Flower Gardens. Explore the magnificent spaces of Libosad as part of guided tours, have fun with the whole family in games that will be prepared throughout the Flower Garden and take the unique opportunity to try historical costumes and stroll through the garden just like our ancestors in the Baroque era. There will also be demonstrations of flower arrangements conducted by renowned florists.
