Festival “PIERROT” is an unconventional European stage for puppetry, dedicated to a new and untypical art form: the puppet theatre for adults. Festival is biannual and it’s held in the period September 24 - 29.
Participants in “PIERROT” are professional Bulgarian and foreign companies creating puppet art intended for the audience of grown-ups. Festival is organized as a competition and an International Jury estimates the performances.
“PIERROT” includes as additional events theoretical seminars, workshops, art market, exhibitions, street art, concerts, cartoon movies, book presentations etc.
The puppetry is no longer reserved only for children!
