International Shakespeare Festival Craiova was founded in 1994 and is produced by the Craiova National Theatre and the Craiova Shakespeare Foundation. Since 2006, it has been also organized in Bucharest in partnership with the Arcub Centre for Cultural Projects, and, since 2010, also with the Romanian Cultural Institute. Craiova Shakespeare Festival is a founding member of the European Shakespeare Festivals Network that includes Shakespeare Festivals of Gdansk,York,Gyula,Neuss,Yerevan,London,etc
