The Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist gives a stage to national and international top musicians, both renowned and up-and-coming. The repertoire focuses on classical singing and is accessible to a wide audience. The festival encourages talent development through the mastercourse and through partnerships with amateur musicians and schools. Vocals, the primal form of music, are given the stage they deserve. The Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist is held annually in the spring.

In May 2019 for ten days the festival takes you on an unforgettable journey through the song cultures of France, England, Russia, Austria and Scandinavia. We always come back to Franz Schubert, his timeless inspiration is the starting point of song art.

With the best international artists: Sarah Connolly, Christoph Pregardien, Mark Padmore, Hans Eijsackers, Graham Johnson, Henk Neven, Lenneke Ruiten and many others.

Mastercourses about the German and French-speaking song, by Elly Ameling, accompany international talents on their journey to new horizons of the song!
