International Theatre Festival "Varna Summer" 2026
The 34th edition of the International Theatre Festival “Varna Summer” takes place this year from 1 to 11 June across the stages of the Theatre and Music Production Centre, the State Puppet Theatre, the Festival and Congress Centre, and the City Art Gallery “B. Georgiev”. The festival programme aims to present the best of the Bulgarian stage from the past season, interesting international companies, and specially invited art events – street performances, concerts, films, discussions, meetings with the audience. The festival productions are organised into three strands: the Main Selection, the Showcase, and the Parallel Programme. In partnership with the International Music Festival “Varna Summer”, we are once again presenting the joint programme “Intermezzo”. The festival lineup offers numerous events that guarantee a celebratory atmosphere and a true festival spirit.
