IX FESTIVAL DOS EIDOS - EIDOSFEST

23 Aug 2024 - 25 Aug 2024
Folgoso do Caurel, Spain

The Festival dos Eidos (Eidosfest), nestled in the quaint village of Parada, is a three-day celebration of poetry, music, and mixed arts held annually in August amidst the stunning backdrop of the Courel Mountains. Set against the backdrop of the Fundación Uxío Novoneyra headquarters, which houses the renowned writer's home and museum, this event first graced our community in 2015.

What began as a modest yet ambitious endeavor to enrich our rural community with cultural inspiration has blossomed over the years into a prominent fixture on Galicia's festival calendar. Garnering acclaim with the prestigious EFFE label for European Festivals from first celebration, Eidosfest earned the Audience Award at CULTURGAL 2019 and clinched the title of Best Non-Music Festival at the Iberian Festivals Awards in 2020, in addition to being recognised twice for European Best Practice in architect heritage dynamisation, young audiences, and European networks. It stands as the flagship cultural event of FUN (Fundación Uxío Novoneyra).

Eidosfest's diverse array of offerings attracts a wide spectrum of attendees, from cultural professionals and adventurous travelers to local residents of all ages. Inclusivity is paramount, with special attention given to accommodating individuals with diverse needs through inclusive programming. Over the years, we have expanded our artistic repertoire to include captivating performances such as scenic poetry and contemporary dance, enhancing the festival's appeal and enriching the cultural landscape of our region.
