Journeys Festival International is an annual arts Festival that celebrates the creative talent of exceptional artists from sanctuary seeking backgrounds and shares experiences of refugee and asylum-seeking communities through artistic and creative encounters. Usually Journeys Festival takes place in Leicester, Portsmouth and Manchester but as a result of Covid-19 response the festival this year will take place digitally across a number of platforms available to all.
We work with artists from around the world to commission, programme and curate a festival that is a vibrant mix of performance, visual art, film, literature, workshops and discussions, the full list of events detail will be released in August.
We are proud to be the UK’s first Festival of Sanctuary, accredited by City of Sanctuary. The Festival, produced by ArtReach, takes place annually in Leicester, Manchester and Portsmouth.
