XXVI International Music Festival "Kharkiv assemblies" (since 1991)- the only in Ukraine focused exclusively on classical art. Founder and Artistic Director - Tetyana Vyerkina, famous Ukrainian pianist, Professor, Rector of Kharkiv I.P.Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts. The tradition of the festival – the annual selection of themes dedicated to the names of prominent personalities of world music culture. During 28 years of existence of festival his heroes were Mozart, Vivaldi, Handel, Scarlatti, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Robert and Clara Schumann, Liszt, Purcell, Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Glinca, Göte, Berlioz, Lysenko and many others.
