KharkivMusicFest is an annual classical music festival presenting famous Ukrainian and international artists in the second largest city of Ukraine. The Festival strives to create opportunities to discover classical music for broad audiences by combining high-quality concerts with other events including lectures, masterclasses, showcases, conferences, presentations, discussions, community gatherings, among others. This makes it unique on the map of music festivals of Eastern Europe.

KharkivMusicFest line-up of soloists in the last few years included musicians from Austria, Australia, Czech Republic, Estoni, Israel, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, South Korea, the United States and many cities of Ukraine. Among featured artists the Festival recently presented are pianists Sergei Babayan and George Li, conductors Andriy Yurkevych and Tomasz Bugaj, violinist Agata Szymczewska, composer Myroslav Skoryk, Sextet “Les Musiciens du Louvre”, Igudesman&Joo duo, among others.

KharkivMusicFest Festival Orchestra brings together the best musicians from all around Ukraine. In 2019 these musicians were joined by colleagues from major orchestras of five European countries.

Recently, KharkivMusicFest started a new Kharkiv Music Forum initiative which became a platform for communication between entrepreneurs, cultural managers, music professionals, government organizations as well as philanthropists and cultural foundations.

Educational and outreach events have always been a major priority for the Festival. Concert lectures in public schools as well as masterclasses by internationally acclaimed artists for students of local music schools and universities create an opportunity for international cultural dialog and building future audiences. Last Festival added new projects that included a series of free-admission concert lectures by leading Ukrainian educators, Music Camp for children specializing on classical music and tea gatherings with Festival artists for music lovers.

KharkivMusicFest makes a large amount of friends outside of concert halls. Pianos painted by local artists are put all over the city during the Festival. Anyone passing by can play the instruments including amateurs and professionals, local groups and ensembles as well as children from local music schools that can be heard on weekends during music school showcases. We very much hope to see you in Kharkiv this spring!
