Krakow Photomonth Festival

In May 2019, the 17th edition of Krakow Photomonth will take place. It will consist of nine individual exhibitions, one problem exhibition developing the concept of food and consumption in today's world and an exhibition of debutants in the SHOWOFF section. Unlike in previous years, this year's edition is thematically more open, we will present the works of artists from archival collections, reportage, through conceptual photography to images created in the post-Internet trend. We have invited a number of artists who have big influence on forming polish contemporary photography scene i.e. Filip Berendt, Adama Lach, Igor Omulecki, Anna Orlowska, and also internationally recognised ones i.e. Michael Schmidt, Andrzej Steinbach, Stefanie Moshammer among others. Apart from exhibitions, the viewers are invited to take part in a number of accompanying events like discussion panels, curatorial talks, workshops, portfolio review and photobook fairs and dummy review in cooperation with Paperlust Photobook Fest.
