Kyiv Klezmer Fest is the International modern klezmer music and Jewish culture festival,which takes place at one of the main squares of Kyiv - capital of Ukraine.
Festival main events are free for public

Festival programme includes:

Big open-air concerts of the world and Ukrainian klezmer, jazz, folk and academic music stars at Kontraktova square in Kyiv

Exhibitions and performances of Ukrainian and international visual artists

Book fare and meetings with writers/translators

Lectures and master classes dedicated to Yiddish heritage in Ukraine, klezmer music, Jewish cuisine

Global goals of the festival are:

Modern Klezmer music promotion, its’ reintegration into Ukrainian culture.

Positioning of Ukraine as homeland of Klezmer music, Yiddish literature and Hasidism. Promotion the idea that this world-recognized music is a part of Ukrainian reach cultural heritage.

Forming the image of Ukraine as modern European country and unique multicultural area.

Promoting ethnic and religious tolerance in Ukrainian society based on the common culture and musical heritage of all ethnic and religious groups that lived together in the territory of modern Ukraine for many centuries
