The Malta Short Film Festival has a unique concept worldwide. Broadcast on Malta’s national television station, TVM, it reaches an audience of 30,000 weekly running for 3 months every year. Films are shown on TV and online and are appraised by a panel of expert judges and by the viewers. The festival therefore is a platform for filmmakers but also an opportunity for film literacy and cultural discourse among the public.
