Malá inventura Festival 2027
Malá inventura in Prague (18–27 February 2027) is a retrospective of the most significant premieres of the past year, which open up new perspectives on artistic and social issues. A dramaturgy focused on diversity and innovation offers a rich spectrum of performative events, discussions, workshops and networking events. The Mala inventura also serves as a reference point for current trends in independent theatre and dance. The festival shows that contemporary art can not only inspire and open new horizons, but also respond sensitively to the world we live in.
Malá inventura in the regions (June–November 2027) brings contemporary theatre and dance to different parts of the Czech Republic, where it enriches local cultural life and connects audiences with new forms of performance art. The festival enables local audiences to encounter independent projects that often go beyond traditional ideas of theatre and dance. The festival demonstrates that contemporary art has a place beyond the major centres and contributes to strengthening cultural diversity and dialogue across regions.
Echoes of the Malá inventura Festival (throughout 2027) bring the most interesting of contemporary indenpendent and devised theatre outside of Prague and the venues of individual Malá inventura Festivals in the regions. Each year, the projects included in the annual showcase arouse great interest in friendly venues and festivals. Echoes of the Festival thus increase the chances for artists to further present selected projects even outside the Czech Republic.
