Mother Tongues Festival
The Mother Tongues Festival is a festival like no other. With a consummate arts programme that offers the best in contemporary theatre, performance, dance, music, literature and visual arts, there is a wealth of entertaining wonder for all ages to get stuck into! Our mission is to showcase Ireland’s rich artistic and cultural tapestry through the use of the many languages spoken in the country. Our festival is the only one of its kind, as it offers audiences an opportunity to be immersed in a multilingual experience while enjoying a varied and engaging programme. This second edition of the Mother Tongues Festival just got bigger and better, with an unprecedented number of languages and art forms to be enjoyed over two weekends in Dublin and Galway. We are looking forward to our next edition in February 2020.
