Open Nights Festival Vol. 7
OPEN NIGHTS festival is an interdisciplinary arts festival based in the city of Larissa, in central Greece. The festival creates and energizes areas on the edge of the visual and performative arts, with the participation of other scientific fields, targeting real life. We are particularly interested in Dance, Location Performances and interactive art work.
The theme of the 2022's 7th edition of the festival is: Body (SOMA)
Where is the body today? Where is it when governments treats it as a machine aiming in its power, and impose discipline in order to maximize its utility for the socio-political system? Where is the young or the old body that dances, the body that dares?
For the 7th edition the festival suggests a return to the body and movement, as a need to resist the threatening existing inertia and as a call to a dynamic entropy, emphasizing the need to eliminate the distinction between art and life.
