PROMIN’ Festival 2027
PROMIN' presents contemporary Ukrainian culture to international audiences. The festival brings together cinema, video art and visual arts, with talks and meetings around the programme. The festival works in two directions at once. In cities with large Ukrainian communities, it gathers people around contemporary cultural events and keeps them connected to the culture they come from. In places where Ukrainian art is rarely shown, it introduces local audiences to contemporary work from Ukraine. PROMIN' is built as an annual programme in each country of presence, developed with local partners and venues so that each city gains its own recurring cultural event. The first edition took place in Lisbon at Cinema São Jorge in July 2025. In May 2026, the festival travelled to Haarlem in the Netherlands, and in July 2026 returned to Lisbon with a one-day Midsummer Edition. The name PROMIN' means "ray of light".
