Ray of Light Awards - Third Edition

ROLA - Ray of Light Awards returns to Ibiza from 23 - 30 May 2027 for its third edition: an eight-day international festival celebrating transformative storytelling across film, music, multimedia and the arts.

Founded in memory of actor Ray Stevenson, ROLA was created around a simple premise: the stories we consume shape the realities we construct. The festival gives visibility to filmmakers, artists and creators whose work explores the human experience while contributing to a more conscious, connected and regenerative culture.

The 2027 edition is inspired by “Mycelium - Nature’s Hidden Network”, exploring interconnection, collaboration and the invisible systems that sustain life. Under the guiding principle “Find the others. Be good ancestors.”, the programme brings together contemporary creativity, cultural dialogue, ancestral knowledge and new perspectives on our shared future. Throughout the festival, audiences experience international film screenings and Q&As, thought-leadership panels, live music and performances, workshops, cultural gatherings and immersive experiences, culminating in the ROLA Awards and closing celebrations.

Events unfold across different cultural and public spaces, creating opportunities for filmmakers, audiences, artists, scientists, thinkers and changemakers to meet beyond the traditional screening environment.

Following two growing editions, ROLA continues to develop as a multidisciplinary cultural festival and platform for meaningful creative work, creating a space where artists and audiences can connect, exchange ideas and imagine new possibilities together
