ReMusica Festival - International Music Festival

The XXIV edition of the ReMusica Festival, “Contrasts”, explores the dialogue between tradition and modernity in music, the differences between stylistic eras and the ways they merge. Across five days, with 18 concerts and more than 160 artists, the festival highlights include the celebrated violinist Tedi Papavrami with pianist Maki Okada, the Nieuw Amsterdams Klarinet Kwartet and the Leleu Brothers: Romain Leleu (trumpet) and Thomas Leleu (tuba). Also featured are the ReVocal Ensemble conducted by Rafet Rudi, Jeremias Fliedl, the Kosovo Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra and many more!This year, at ReMusica XXIV, the festival welcomes Zefiro Torna with Alon Sariel, Jurgen de Bruyn, Christos Barbas, Elly Aerden as this year’s artists in residence, joined by Agona Shporta for a special collaboration. The festival also offers daytime pocket concerts where the audience will discover unique artists and specific thematic short programmes.ReMusica Junior programme returns with a special programme for children designed to spark curiosity, creativity. and love for music while the ReNew Platform continues its mission of supporting emerging artists. From 27–31 October, ReMusica Festival will offer not only artistic programmes but also opportunities for networking and international collaboration.About ReMusica Founded in 2002 by composer Rafet Rudi with support from Philip Glass and Vanessa Redgrave, ReMusica Festival is Kosovo’s cultural heartbeat and a leading platform for contemporary and classical music in Southeast Europe. For over two decades, it has been Prishtina’s key cultural pillar with classical music repertoires, avant-garde and innovative works but not only. More than a festival, ReMusica is a hub of culture and ideas, premiering over 500 works by Albanian composers. ReMusica is a member of the European Festivals Association, and it is an active member of many European initiatives by engaging in cultural, social and environmental responsibility.Education is central to ReMusica. Through masterclasses, workshops, and platforms like ReNew for young artists and ReMusica Junior for children, the festival nurtures creativity, curiosity, and imagination.ReMusica Junior programme engages children through dedicated concerts, playful exploration of sounds, instruments, and collaboration, often using recycled materials, making music a vital and inspiring part of childhood in Kosovo.The ReNew Platform supports emerging composers and talented performers with masterclasses, residencies, and international collaborations, connecting young artists to the European stage.
