Romanian Comedy Festival - festCO was established in 2003 by the actor George Mihaita, manager of The Comedy Theatre. The festival was born from the desire to promote Romanian theatre in all its forms, but also to provide a cultural alternative for the citizens of our capital, Bucharest.
Since 2006 the festival has become competitive. The same year was founded the Romanian Comedy Contest, a play-writing competition, discovering new talents in contemporary drama.
