Tanzfestival Rhein-Main

This page contains information about a past festival edition. View the latest edition here.

The dance festival is one of the highlights in the program of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main and is held once a year.

The approximately two-week stage program combines productions by outstanding choreographers from the region as well as guest performances by international dance stars with an exciting supporting program that offers numerous opportunities for exchange between dance creators and those interested.

In addition, visitors with and without dance experience have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience and to explore dance-related topics: in artist talks, workshops and presentations, concerts, lectures, dance teas or bar evenings.

As a spotlight artist, Lisbeth Gruwez is at the center of this year's dance festival Rhein-Main. Born in 1977, the choreographer is one of the outstanding figures of a younger generation of artists in Belgium. Three piece presentations, a video installation and a workshop provide a unique opportunity to discover the complex work of this extraordinary artist during the festival.

For this year's festival there is also a special special podcast "Dancing Ears". In six episodes, a production of the varied program is presented by the choreographers.
