Terres Travel Festival - Films & Creativity
Terres Travel Festival is a worldwide pioneer in conceiving travel experience communication from a comprehensive point of view (festival, media lab and public parallel activities). Its audience is both professional and general public. On the one hand, tourism and audiovisual professionals; on the other, a passionate community around the travel experience.
The festival takes place in Tortosa, the biggest city in Terres de l'Ebre region, during the spring season. The 35% of the region is protected by 2 natural parks. Its natural heritage is protected by the label of UNESCO BIOSPHERE RESERVE.
The festival has two areas: the Sustainable Tourism Day, a professional conference; and the open activities for all the attendees and visitors in Tortosa in emblematic -and underexplored- places.
The festival also strengths the relationship between the local business sector in the field of travel experiences and works with The Catalan Audiovisual Cluster and the media companies in Catalonia.
The award of the festival is a metaphor of the commitment of the Festival with Sustainability and the local economy. The palm olive supported in an olive wood base exemplifies the tight relationship between men and nature in Terres de l’Ebre. It is an artisan object made with Palm from the “Ports” area following the ancestral technique of weaving palm, a profession that some years ago was endangered and that currently is living an interesting recovery process. This interaction between men and nature is one of the values of sustainability that the Terres Travel Festival wants to disseminate.
Since 2025, the festival has the B Greenly certification as a Sustainable Festival.
