TRANSLATORIUM

TRANSLATORIUM Literary and Translation Festival in Khmelnytskyi is the only festival in Ukraine dedicated to literary translation. Its program includes various translation workshops, lectures, discussions, and poetry readings. The organizers of the festival are the VERBatsiya translation group, as well as activists from Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv. In 2019, the festival will be held on October 4-6.

Each year, about 25 well-known translators, writers, publishers, and various artists come to Khmelnytskyi to take part in the festival. Being focused on literary translation, TRANSLATORIUM is beyond literature, and combines it with music and cinema. Among the previous years participants were Mark Belorusets, Nelia Vakhovska, Yaroslava Strikha, Roman Malynovskyi, Hryhoriy Semenchuk, Ulrike Almut Sandig, Oleh Kadanov, etc. Involving different representatives of book industry, the organizers aim to create a platform for cooperation and sharing best practices.
