TRESK 2026

02 Apr 2026 - 05 Apr 2026
Ljubljana, Slovenia

For more than fifteen years, the Tresk Festival, which has been present on the Slovenian music scene since 2010, has also been providing an innovative, top-quality, and diverse cultural offering in the Ljubljana municipality. In its sixteen years of existence, it has established itself as a recognizable music and publishing festival with a rich program of accompanying activities, which are complemented and enriched in terms of content from year to year. Tresk remains the only domestic publishing festival in Slovenia that plays an important role in bringing together independent publishers and independent domestic music creators, thus creating fertile ground for further collaboration between actors on the Slovenian alternative, independent, and urban music scene. Tresk, a four-day concert, publishing, and debate event, has been continuously questioning the independent domestic and European music scene for many years. In addition, the festival also successfully reflects the musical and, consequently, Slovenian cultural offer. It bases its program on this reflection, which undoubtedly enriches the creativity and quality of the aforementioned domestic offerings.

The aim of the Tresk Festival is to encourage reflection on the challenges of publishing and its role in shaping the Slovenian music scene, to highlight good practices, and to empower smaller, marginalized, and entry-level projects in this field. The festival program pursues these goals through the selection of musical performers (highlighting creators with current releases), discursively through lectures (highlighting key players on the Slovenian scene who present their good practices), round tables (creating a space for reflection on the key challenges of music publishing in the current time and space) and workshops (empowering creators and publishers when entering the domestic music scene). In all of this, the traditional fair for Slovenian publishers also plays a key and connecting role, serving as a platform for the presentation and promotion of their work.
