Varna Summer International Music Festival 2026

2026 is a special year - THE CELEBRATION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL “VARNA SUMMER”.

Varna Summer International Music Festival is among the longest-standing members of the European Festivals Association and a proud holder of the EFFE Label – Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals, as well as the EFFE Audience Choice Award. This centenary represents an important milestone both for the festival and for the wider European cultural community. Founded in 1926, with such a long history, the festival has established itself as a leading international cultural platform, welcoming artists and ensembles of the highest international standing. The festival serves as a living platform for intercultural exchange and understanding, demonstrating how music and the arts can build bridges, nurture empathy and contribute to a more open, inclusive and resilient society. The anniversary edition will feature a rich and diverse international programme, including performances by musicians and orchestras of world renown, such as the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra. The official opening will take place on 27 June 2026 at the Festival and Congress Centre – Varna, while the festival programme will continue through 14 October 2026, concluding with a celebratory concert by the BBC Symphony Orchestra London.
