VIBE Festival 2027

01 Jul 2027 - 04 Jul 2027
Targu Mures, Romania

In 2017, a new community-based concept was born, grounded in the needs of young people from Transylvania’s Hungarian community. VIBE Festival is rooted in community. Its aim is to create a space where young people from Transylvania’s Hungarian community can meet and connect. It gives them the chance to discover a variety of cultural genres, encouraging them to engage with culture. The first edition of VIBE Festival in 2017 welcomed 24,110 festivalgoers, and by 2026 attendance had grown to 110,000.

As the largest Hungarian festival in Transylvania, it offers a competitive alternative for young people looking for entertainment, featuring the most popular Hungarian and Transylvanian bands and international DJs. Festivalgoers could choose from more than a hundred performers across three live music and three electronic music stages.

Besides the concerts, participants can also attend cultural talks, meet-and-greets, and creative workshops. In addition to the festival’s six music stages, VIBE Koli, a dedicated inspiration and innovation hub, hosts talks, workshops, and expert speakers across various presentation spaces and partner venues.

Charismatic speakers, diverse topics, and great company: all of this can be found at VIBE Koli, the knowledge forum of Transylvania’s largest Hungarian festival. You can hear Transylvanian, Hungarian, and international speakers who offer inspiration to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or outlook on life. Topics include education, sustainability, personal branding, Transylvanian gastronomy, wines, artificial intelligence, the job market prospects of recent graduates, generational trauma, drug-free living, and bridging the divides between societies.

Through its music lineup and the professional program of Koli, which showcases local talents and role models, the festival reaches thousands of young Hungarians in Transylvania, mainly high school and university students, though many young families attend as well. We consider it important to show young people who are choosing a career path or just starting out that staying at home is a realistic option for a successful career.

Talent development is one of the festival’s defining pillars. The programs and venues designed mainly for Transylvanian talents and creators all serve one goal: to help talented young people build professional skills and present themselves to a much wider audience. Of particular note is the Epic Music Battle competition, where Transylvanian bands and DJs can introduce themselves to the local audience, while at the Fashion Corner, festivalgoers can discover Transylvanian creators, designers, and craftspeople.
