Founded by visionary conductor Iván Fischer, the Vicenza Opera Festival brings opera back to its origins in Palladio’s Teatro Olimpico. Here the Renaissance stage’s permanent scenery shifts focus to acting and music, inspiring intimate productions. Since its 2018 debut, it has filled the birthplace of opera with life. With the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the Ivan Fischer Opera Company, and in partnership with Società del Quartetto, the festival invites you to discover Vicenza each fall.
