XIX ed. Cagliari FestivalScienza - Visions

The 2026 Cagliari FestivalScienza, now in its nineteenth year, explores the theme of “Visions”. It invites us to look beyond the familiar, rediscover the wonder of nature, explore new avenues of thought and knowledge, and use science to imagine fresh ways of understanding the world around us. Through a rich variety of activities and ways of communicating, the festival invites young people, schools, families and the wider community to discover some of the most fascinating and lesser-known sides of science. It also shows how science is an essential part of our culture and has often played a key role in shaping society’s knowledge, values and everyday habits. The programme includes talks, book presentations, meetings, debates, workshops, exhibitions, interactive installations and competitions, all designed to make scientific ideas easy to understand and emotionally engaging. Young people take centre stage, working alongside leading scholars and researchers in an ongoing conversation between science and society.
