Women Reclaiming the Arts 2026

"Women Reclaiming the Arts" is an annual Festival that takes place every Fall, with a view to offering the stage to women artists and helping them find their voice.

It made its debut in 2024 offering women artists a stage of freedom of expression and a channel of communication with audiences.

In our first volume of Our "Women Reclaiming the Arts" we hosted 9 women artists in the genres of photography, fiction writing and music.

The festival emerged from our aspiration and our need to reach out to other women be they artists, aspiring artists or arts industry people.

The highlight of our second volume was an international collaboration as we managed to offer the stage to two women dancers from the US currently based in Brussels. In addition, we hosted a choir consisting of 21 members who sang songs of the Mediterranean area.

Next to our goals concerning female empowerment in the arts, our 2026 edition lays emphasis on our opening the festival up to European artists, attempting collaborations that will result in invaluable networking, cultural exchanges and freedom of artistic expression. By doing so, "Women Reclaiming the Arts" will offer inspiration to the local community, which it will try to include in its activities. A channel of artistic and cultural dialogue between the hosted artists and the community will be a primary objective.

As always, our commitment to the environment will be respected as the festival's carbon footprint will be kept to minimum levels by making use of existing reusable resources and keeping our activities small scale.
