World Cultures Festival "Window to the world"

25 Aug 2023 - 27 Aug 2023
Gdańsk, Poland

Its idea appeared together with the director, Larry Okey Ugwu, and the first edition took place in September 2005. The largest and flagship NCK festival - "Window to the World" is a meeting place for artists of various cultures with the Tri-City audience, a festival of international fusions, whose main goal is promoting tolerance, respect and interest in "otherness", openness to what is distant for us and sometimes - still - incomprehensible.

In the case of this festival, "dialogue" is the key word - all festival activities: concerts, workshops, meetings, presentations, film screenings, a number of interdisciplinary projects aim to provoke interaction, put the audience in a constant state of surprise by colliding different cultures, through intentional mismatch” of genres and forms. Our activities during the festival were appreciated by the European Union, which included the "Window to the World" as part of the Polish celebrations of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in 2008.
