XXVI Teatar fest "Petar Kočić" 2024.

03 Jun 2024 - 09 Jun 2024
Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The goal of the Theatre Fest "Petar Kočić" is to present, affirm, encourage and evaluate works written for the theatre. The term "works written for the theatre" means original plays, dramatic texts created by dramatization or adaptation of prose and poetry, but also other forms of writing for stage design and performance. Considering the experience of various writing practices for theatre that were applied and manifested during the 20th century, Theatre Fest "Petar Kocic" acknowledges the fact that the concept of drama, or dramatic text, in modern theatre has expanded significantly. Therefore, in the selection of plays for the competition program in their evaluation (awarding by the expert jury), he decides to affirm the whole spectrum of contemporary writing for the stage - from classical, canonical dramatic form, through its various derivatives, to post-dramatic textual productions. By acting in the region, the Petar Kočić Theater Fest wants to influence the expansion of the boundaries of cultural identities and the creation of apecultural contacts.
