Zampognarea. The world of bagpipes between men and sounds. Zampognarea is a project of knowledge and dissemination of traditional musical heritage, mainly realized through an exhibition of musical instruments, which starts from the bagpipes to get to explore the world of musical instruments. In our countries the Christmas holidays have always been linked to the image and sound of the pipers that play the melodies typical of the pastoral repertoire. To realize a cultural and musical project that has as base and foundation the repertoire of traditional music means recovering fundamental aspects of history and culture, which in today's era can be useful for identifying a correct relationship with society and the environment that surround. The goal is also to restore dignity to the heritage of oral culture of the pastoral and peasant world and overcome that stereotyped image of tradition, as it is often roughly proposed to tourists. On the occasion of the exhibition, in addition to the exhibition and the musical animations, moments of cultural analysis will be proposed on the musical history, on the traditions and on the handcrafted luthery linked to the bagpipe and to the instruments related to it. Zampognarea is a project on traditional cultures born from the artistic and cultural experience of a group of associations, musicians, cultural operators engaged for years in research work and revived, in forms more or less related to the philological re-presentation, of artistic expressions characteristic of culture traditional Italian, with particular attention to Sicily and southern Italy. The main aim of the exhibition is to spread the knowledge of musical culture and the bagpipes to young people, through guided tours for schools, concert lessons, shows and animations.
