Čo ešte nedoznelo? / What Still Resonates?

01 Jun 2027 - 04 Jul 2027
Nove Zamky, Slovakia

The third edition of What Still Resonates? will take place in Nové Zámky, Slovakia, in 2027. The festival is dedicated to creating encounters between Slovak and international music, artists and audiences through carefully curated chamber music programmes. Its artistic concept is based on discovery: presenting outstanding works that deserve to be heard again, music that is rarely performed, contemporary compositions, and new perspectives on familiar repertoire. Alongside Slovak music, the 2027 edition will place a stronger emphasis on international repertoire and artistic exchange, bringing together performers and musical traditions from different European countries. The festival aims to connect musical heritage with the present. Programmes may combine historical repertoire with 20th- and 21st-century works, allowing audiences to hear connections across periods, styles and national traditions. Particular attention is given to works by Slovak composers, while placing them within a broader European musical context rather than presenting them in isolation. What Still Resonates? seeks to create an intimate and welcoming festival atmosphere in which audiences can experience music at close range and discover repertoire beyond the standard concert canon. The festival also encourages dialogue between performers, composers and listeners, making contemporary and lesser-known music accessible to audiences with different levels of musical experience. The 2027 edition will continue to develop the festival as an international meeting point for chamber music, supporting artistic collaboration, new partnerships and the circulation of artists and repertoire across borders.
