Insolito Festival 2026

Insolito Festival, curated by Micro Macro ETS since 2014, takes place in Parma and the surrounding municipalities during August, September, and October. At the heart of its vision lies the relationship with the city — its urban spaces and its inhabitants. The festival’s program addresses an intergenerational audience of children, young people, and adults, offering a perspective on contemporary theatre that embraces a wide variety of languages, poetics, and genres. Alongside performances by national and international contemporary artists, the festival features original creations by the association, often inspired by urban explorations and encounters with the local community. The Festival is made possible thanks to the support of the Municipality of Parma, the Emilia-Romagna Region, Fondazione Cariparma, Fondazione Monteparma, Conad Centro Nord. Every year, it fosters numerous collaborations with local institutions and organizations — from universities to schools of all levels, from associations engaged in first reception, personal assistance, and disability support to the many theatres across the city.
